Lady Sayury Ruiz obtained a bachelor´s degree in Jurisprudence from Montclair State University in Montclair, NJ in 2008, obtaining the qualification of outstanding cum laude. In 2018, she obtained a Juris Doctor from Seton Hall University School of Law School in Newark, NJ with a concentration in Health Law. During her time at Seton Hall, she worked at the Immigration.
After graduating from Seton Hall Law School, Lady Sayury Ruiz served as a law clerk for a Judge at the Essex County Family Court in Newark, NJ. During her clerkship, she managed the Children in Court docket and worked on cases of various Family Law issues. Lady is currently admitted to the New Jersey State Bar and is processing her admission to the New York State Bar.
Currently, she is a PhD grantee in the Department of Public Law of the University of Lleida, where she also teaches in the Master on Gender Studies. Currently, she also collaborates with the R&D project “Towards a comprehensive law against trafficking and slavery”, focusing her lines of investigation on the crime of human trafficking.
